St. Mary's school is a K to 6 school with a student population of approximately 125. The school is located on River Road, overlooking the Peace River.
Our school has excellent resources from our library to our portable Chromebook labs. Every classroom is equipped with a Smartboard, projector, and sound system. The grades 4, 5 and 6 classes have one-to-one Chromebooks.
Besides core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies), students also take Art, Health, Physical Education, and Music. Religion is offered as an option. We also have special programs including Primary Literacy Supports, a speech-language program, resource and home reading program.
St. Mary's has a full time Kindergarten program and this fall will be also offering a K-4 program.
We offer several clubs and extra-curricular activities including student council, writing, robotics, Iron Chef, soccer, cross country, track and field, etc.
We have many special days and activities at St. Mary's including our annual Christmas concert, Science-in-Motion, Terry Fox Run, Spring Art Display and Public Speaking, Pumpkin Carving night, Education Week, Talent Show, Literacy and Math events and more.
St. Mary's is a PAX school. We believe in creating a peaceful environment through a collaborative effort with our students. Together we create a PAX vision of what we want our school to LOOK LIKE, SOUND LIKE and FEEL LIKE, and we decide what we have to DO to achieve this vision.
