Principal's Message
At Hill Crest Community School, we aim to create a vibrant learning environment that empowers our students to become well-rounded and successful individuals. Our education programs are centered around our four areas of focus, which are numeracy, literacy, connectivity. With the advancement of the Fort Vermilion School Division Collegiate School, we have added the fourth area of priority which is an emphasis on career exploration. By focusing on these four pillars, students will be well prepared for the workforce in the 21st century.
At Hill Crest, we strive to foster a passion for reading and writing. By focusing on phonological awareness, reading comprehension, and strong writing skills, students will be well equipped to succeed academically, communicate effectively, and approach future learning with confidence and critical thinking skills.
It is our goal to develop critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and mathematical fluency, fostering a lasting appreciation for math. To achieve this, we are committed to providing a supportive learning environment where students can explore mathematical concepts deeply, apply their knowledge to real-world situations, and develop the confidence to tackle challenges with perseverance and creativity.
At Hill Crest Community School, we are dedicated to fostering connectivity by building meaningful connections with the world around our students. By emphasizing the development of interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and effective communication, we aim to equip our students with the tools they need to navigate diverse social environments and build strong, lasting relationships.
Hill Crest Community School is committed to offering a wide range of learning opportunities that empower all students to succeed. In collaboration with parents and the community, and by focusing on numeracy, literacy, connectivity, and career exploration, we equip our students with the skills and knowledge to excel academically and confidently navigate our quickly changing world.
