Please join us for an evening information session and learn more about how you can homeschool and/or learn online with FVSD!

Find out more about our outreach programs and how blended programming works!

Choose the best possible education for your child! FVSD has a program to meet your family's needs:

NORTHERN HOME EDUCATION CENTRE

Serving students from grades 1-12, the goal of Northern Home Education Centre is to create a quality educational environment that meets the needs of each student and family. A flexible schedule, access to funding, and an active and engaged homeschool community are just some of the benefits of enrolling with NHEC.

Parents/guardians have full control over the curriculum.

AT-HOME LEARNING CENTRE

Students from grades 1-9 can learn online with At-Home Learning Centre, an online based public school with live instruction provided in real time by a locally based teacher. Just like a traditional classroom the teacher interacts with students and is available for one-on-one appointments and additional support as required.

Instruction follows the Alberta Education Curriculum.

LEARNING STORES OUTREACH PROGRAM

A great alternative for students in grade 9 and up who find that regular school programs and services do not meet their needs, the Learning Stores have proven effective for many students that otherwise may not have been able to obtain their High School Diploma. Low student/teacher ratios, flexible school and attendance expectations along with a friendly and supportive environment are just a few advantages!

Instruction follows the Alberta Education Curriculum.
