Support Staff

Additional Information:

The Fort Vermilion School Division is hiring 1-2 individuals to support Northern Home Education Center families in their homeschool journey. Applicants should have successful homeschool experience and enjoy working with children and families. 

This is a part-time position working the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year.  The Family Engagement Coordinator would organize and supervise NHEC activities such as: Gym nights, arts and music, community tours, and mentorship programs. As well, support families in: setting up for a successful homeschool experience, connecting with other homeschool families, and exploring resources that meet the needs of our parents and students. 

Start Date:  As soon as possible upon hire         

Hours:  5-10 hours per week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have flexible hours with some availably during the daytime and evening
• Have basic computer skills 
• Work with limited supervision
• Follow FVSD polices and guidelines
• Work collaboratively with school staff and parents in a confidential manner
• Evidence of successfully passing the required Police -Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and the Children’s Services- Intervention Record Check (IRC) if you have/had children

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary will depend upon qualifications and experience. 
• This position does not qualify for benefits.
