Announcement Re: Monetary Donations for Fort Vermilion Food Bank

In response to the generous outpouring of support and offers for donations to the Fort Vermilion Food Bank we have set up a partnership with the High Level Native Friendship Centre to take monetary donations for the Fort Vermilion Food Bank, at this time.  A Charitable Donation receipt will be available for all donations.   

Donations can also be made to the High Level Native Friendship Centre, in support of their efforts in assisting the Fort Vermilion Flood evacuees that are staying in High Level.  

For all donations intended to support the Fort Vermilion Food Bank, please specify “Fort Vermilion Food Bank” in the comment section of the e-transfer.  

The Fort Vermilion Food Bank is located within the Metis Nation of Alberta Local Council #74 Office, 4802 50 St.  Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 12:00pm, 1:00-5:00pm

NOTE: Our services are available to anyone in need.  However, certain food security initiatives will only be available for flood evacuees and/or COVID-19 affected households.

FVSD donation 

We are unable to take cash donations to specifically give out to all those affected by the flood due to legal legatities.   We are requesting people to buy items for the evacuees and send them to the donation center at the Fort Vermilion Complex and or send money to the food bank.
