Support Staff

Additional Information:

Upper Hay River School is hiring a part-time custodian to implement daily cleaning procedures. 

The part-time custodian will utilize the equipment and supplies provided to help maintain a clean and sanitary facility. 

The part-time custodian will work independently for 3 hours per day, 3pm-6pm, 5 days per week.  This is a 12 month position with paid vacation leave.

Start Date:  Immediately Upon Hire

Hours:  15 hours per week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Grade 12 Diploma
• WHMIS Training is required and will be provided
• Previous custodian/janitor experience
• Able to work collaboratively with staff and the maintenance department
• Recognize and respect the need for confidentiality
• Evidence of successfully passing the required Police-Vulnerable Sector Check and the Children’s Services-Intervention Record Check (applicable only if you have/had children)
• Must be eligible to work in Canada

Wage & Benefits:   

• Salary will depend upon qualifications and experience. 
• Benefits will be provided after the mandatory 3-month probationary period is successfully completed.
