Additional Information:

The Fort Vermilion School Division is hiring a Carpenter for the upcoming 2024-25 school year. The Journeyman instructor will help provide educational support, as part of the Collegiate model, in developing skills that help students graduate with the credentials to help them succeed in life.

This position is open to both the Journeyman carpenter and those working towards their Journeyman Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Work cooperatively as part of a diversified team
• Perform assigned work in an efficient, professional, and safe manner always acting in the best interest of the Fort Vermilion School Division
• Good written and oral communication skills
• An Alberta Class 5 driver’s license
• A working knowledge of legislation pertaining to trades
• Experience working with school aged students
• Evidence of a clean Alberta Registry Driver’s Abstract
• Evidence of successfully passing the required Police-Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and the Alberta Children’s Services Intervention Record Check (IRC) if you have/had children

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary range $46,884 to $87,669 dependant upon qualifications and experience
• Benefits will be provided after the mandatory 3-month probationary period is successfully completed

This is a 12-month position, commencing with the 2024-25 school year.
