We are pleased to announce the appointment of Shelly Komarnicki as Principal of Spirit of the North Community School. Shelly began her career with FVSD in 2001 teaching various elementary grades at Spirit of the North Community School and Florence MacDougall Community School. In 2021 she joined Rocky Lane School as Assistant Principal and in 2022 moved to her current role as Principal at Upper Hay River School. Shelly received her Master of Education in 2020.

The collaborative spirit and commitment of the staff and students have made my time here truly special. I am excited to return to Spirit of the North Community School, where I began my career as a teacher. This new chapter is a homecoming for me; I carry with me the invaluable lessons and cherished memories from UHRS. I look forward to contributing to SNCS with the same passion and dedication.”
