Vulnerable Sector and Intervention Record Check Info & Request Forms

Police Vulnerable Sector Check:  A clean Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within 6 months) is required as a condition of employment.

The Fort Vermilion RCMP detachment is not open to "walk in" clients and is not processing Vulnerable Sector Checks in La Crete at this time. 

To obtain a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) please complete the form below and email to  or fax to 780-927-4425.  Please attach 2 pieces of Identification, one of which must be photo ID if at all possible.  The completed VSC will be emailed to you or mailed to the PO Box address you supply on the application form.  Please call 780-927-3258 for more information. 

If you are living in High Level, a VSC is available in person at the High Level Detachment.


Children's Services Intervention Record Check:  A clean Intervention Record Check (dated within 6 months) is a condition of employment if required as below. 

An Intervention Record Check is now only required if you have children OR had children in your care in the past, including step and foster children. 

If yes, then an IRC is still required.  If no, then an IRC is no longer required, please submit a statement to this effect with your application or in an email to 

The IRC is available locally at the Children's Services Office in High Level located near the Alberta Treasury Branch.
