Teacher & Professional Application Process
Teachers and other professionals can apply to positions in FVSD free of charge through ApplyToEducation. To view and apply to positions with FVSD, please click on the link below.
Career opportunities in FVSD are posted on our website as they become available and may also be advertised in other electronic and print media. Applicants are encouraged to sign up for the "Job Alert" feature on ApplytoEducation to be notified by email when positions are posted.

We are not currently accepting applications for Substitute Teaching.
STEP 1: Register with Fort Vermilion School Division (FVSD) on ApplyToEducation.
Click here to register with FVSD on ApplyToEducation. If you are already registered, please proceed to Step 2 to submit your application to the job posting(s).
To complete your online profile, you will be asked to upload the following:
- Cover letter
- Practicum reports and/or teaching evaluations
- Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Names and contact information (including current email) of three professional references
Once you have created your online profile you must apply to the specific job posting(s) to be considered for employment within FVSD.
STEP 2: Apply to Active FVSD Job Postings
- Log into your ApplyToEducation account here.
- Click 'Job Postings' on the navigation bar and select 'Search Jobs'
- Select the job posting title of the job that you would like to apply for and click the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the page.
Note: Jobs that you have applied to successfully will appear in your 'Job Application Log' in the Job Posting section.

TQS- Teacher Qualifications Services / Statement
The Teacher Qualifications Service (TQS) is the agency in Alberta responsible for evaluating a teacher's years of education for salary purposes. Teachers new to the Fort Vermilion School Division must provide the payroll department with their TQS statement. This statement is available by applying to the Alberta Teachers' Association. In addition to the TQS evaluation of years of education, proof of teaching experience is also required to determine placement on the FVSD Salary Grid. Please have the following form completed by all previous school Board employers.
