Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, this department provides leadership to schools throughout the Fort Vermilion School Division in the following areas:

Goals:

The Fort Vermilion School Division Board of Trustees has identified three goals, which align with those identified by Alberta Education:

1. High Quality Learning Opportunities for All
2. Excellence in Learner Outcomes
3. Highly Responsive and Responsible Jurisdiction

Priorities:

In addition, the Fort Vermilion School Division Board of Trustees has identified two current areas of priority:

1. Increase the percentage of students reading at or above grade level
2. Increase the percentage of students completing high school within three years of entering grade 10
