Programs for Home Use

The Fort Vermilion School Division offers many different programs that staff and students are allowed to purchase for home use and some that are free for home use. There are different ways to obtain programs depending on the program and whether you are a staff member or a student. Listed below are the programs available and the methods by which they can be obtained. Please keep in mind that the school division does not offer support for any of these programs, support should be directed to each individual program manufacturer or company.

Microsoft Office:

Provincial LRC Voucher: Professional Teaching Staff are eligible to obtain Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 or 2004 for Mac. Copies of Office that obtained in this manner are licensed to the user only for the duration of your employment with the school division and must be removed if you are no longer employed. This is not available to students. The process for obtaining the voucher and ordering is listed below. Pricing for this option is listed on the voucher.

Email Verna in Central Office and request a voucher
Once you have the voucher, follow the instructions to access the LRC website setup for this program, choose the version of Office you want and send payment (at this time only credit cards are accepted).
Once everything is verified and payment is processed LRC sends the cd to Central Office where it is put on courier.

Student Select Program: This option is open to all staff and students in the school division. There are several different programs that are available through this option. Programs available include: Office 2003, Office 2007, Office 2004 for Mac, individual Office applications such as Word, Excel etc, Vista upgrade licenses, Microsoft Student with Encarta, Visio and Project. The licensing for this option is also a little different in that it is a permanent license, meaning that the license is yours and does not have to be removed when you leave. The process for obtaining programs under this option is listed below. Pricing for this option is higher than the LRC option.

Once you have the voucher, access the website listed on the voucher to see the list of programs available and pricing for those programs.
Choose the programs you want to purchase and send payment for those programs. You are eligible to purchase all of the programs on the website, but each can only be purchased once. When a program is purchased it is greyed out and cannot be selected again. Other programs remain selectable for purchase.
Once payment is received and verified the cd(s) are shipped directly to you.
