Casual employees are hired on an as needed basis.
As per the Terms of Employment Clause 16 casual employees are paid as follows:

TO APPLY:
NEW Casual Employees
- Application forms can be picked up at any school and submitted to the school along with a clean Vulnerable Sector Check-VSC and Intervention Record Check-IRC (if applicable)
- Print off the Casual Application Forms 2023 24 and email your application to hr@fvsd.ab.ca
Previous Casual
- If you have not worked since January 1, 2023, OR your Vulnerable Sector is over 5 years old you are no longer approved as a FVSD casual employee. Please submit new application forms along with new record check(s)
FVSD Human Resources will advise the schools when your application is approved, and they will call you for work as needed.
